I’m seeking divorce in order to pursue polygamy marriage – Kunle Afolayan
Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has announced he is seeking a divorce in order to pursue a polygamous marriage.
Speaking at a recent film event, Afolayan revealed he is currently undergoing divorce proceedings and stated, “I am in and out of court seeking a divorce. I don’t mind the toll. So I can marry many wives now.”
He attributed his views to his upbringing, noting that his late father had ten wives and 25 children, a structure he credits for his own existence and success. Afolayan also encouraged men to consider polygamy, emphasising the importance of legacy and continuity.
