The Chief Executive Officer of D Global Entertainment, David Mensah, has petitioned the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service over what he describes as persistent harassment, blackmail, cyberbullying and defamation against himself, his partner and his family.
In a formal petition dated January 28, 2026, and addressed to the Director-General of the CID, Mr Mensah alleged that an individual identified as Kwabena Sarfo, popularly known as Showboy, has for the past three years used social media platforms and live streams to make false and damaging claims about him.
According to the petition, Mr Sarfo, who reportedly presents himself as a blogger, has repeatedly linked Mr Mensah to alleged fraudulent activities and criminal cases, claims the D Global Entertainment CEO insists are completely false.
Mr Mensah further accused the individual of engaging in blackmail, alleging that whenever he refuses to comply with certain demands, personal images of him are published online alongside public insults.
He noted that the alleged attacks have not only affected him personally but have also extended to his family and his business, causing what he described as serious reputational, emotional and psychological harm.
The petition also detailed alleged abuse directed at Mr Mensah’s partner, who he said has been subjected to public insults, cyberbullying and defamatory language on social media.
He claimed that she has been called derogatory names and her music career mocked, actions he described as severe and unacceptable.
Mr Mensah warned that the continued spread of what he terms false allegations, insults and threatening content poses a serious risk to the safety, mental well-being and public image of himself, his partner and his family, and could potentially lead to wider personal or social consequences if left unaddressed.
He has therefore appealed to the CID to urgently investigate the matter and take the necessary legal steps to protect him and his family from further harassment, blackmail and defamation.
The D Global Entertainment CEO stated that he is ready to fully cooperate with investigators and provide evidence, including screenshots, recordings, links to social media posts and a detailed timeline of the alleged incidents.
He expressed confidence in the Ghana Police Service to uphold justice and protect citizens from harmful online conduct.
